Hope Work Experience is an initiative that provides support to Afghan Evacuees a wonderful learning opportunity.
The program offers work experience components that gives students hands-on opportunities.
For immigrants, the challenges are many — and learning the language is often one of most immediate. Afghan evacuees now have a resource to help them overcome this barrier with free English classes, held at First Presbyterian Church in Connecticut.
Learning English is a crucial step for many immigrants as they adjust to a new country and a new culture. For many years, the HCC Adult Learning Program has supported the immigrants of Fairfield County in their goal to learn English and become active members of our community. We look forward to helping our newest immigrants do the same.
Morning classes are held Monday - Friday from 10 am-12 pm.
