In a time when face-to-face education is limited by ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Foundation of Hope is using a virtual format to keep up its longstanding tutoring services for students in our community.
Hope Learning offers both individual and groups sessions covering a range of subjects, including (but are not limited to) Languages, Math, Science, homework help, and more. Foundation of Hope tutors adapt our method of teaching to each student’s learning style. I recently spoke with one of our tutors, Michael Chiong. Michael has been tutoring with Foundation of Hope for several months, assisting middle and high-school aged students with math and Chemistry. While acknowledging this is a difficult and unusual time for students’ education, he expressed optimism, impressed by his own students’ adaptability to the virtual format. Michael believes that, even in these challenging times, with the right support we can all help students weather this difficult period and move forward academically. He also believes learning support systems such as Hope Learning can continue to remind young learners about the importance of education. Hope Learning tutoring services are available to the public. All of us here at Foundation of Hope wish you and your family and friends had a safe, enjoyable Christmas holiday. The ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19 certainly have made it difficult for many of us to travel and enjoy the same holiday get-togethers and reunions, so we’d like to once again ask for your personal experience and reflections, both related to Christmas Day as well as the close of the year 2020.
We welcome your messages here, be they messages of struggle, of hope, or a combination of the two. Foundation of Hope and all its endeavors are made possible by community engagement and support, and we continue to encourage an ongoing dialogue with our community members. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us, either by emailing Foundation of Hope’s publicist Katharine Booth at katharine@foundationofhope.us, or by posting to our Facebook and Instagram pages, at Facebook.com/TheFoundationofHope and Instagram.com/TheFoundationofHope. Thank you. Written by Katharine Booth, Foundation of Hope publicist As we at Foundation of Hope continue to look for ways to engage with our community, we’d like to wish you a happy Christmas Eve, and ask you what your plans are for Christmas Eve 2020.
How do you plan on celebrating Christmas Eve? Whether you observe the holiday religiously or with secular traditions, we’d love to hear your thoughts and perspective on this very unusual holiday season. We have all faced great challenges this year, and the Christmas holiday is particularly significant for a large swathe of people in our nation and around the world. How are you staying in touch with your family? What struggles, and messages of hope would you like to send out to your local community and beyond? As always, please feel free to share your thoughts with us by emailing Foundation of Hope’s publicist Katharine Booth at katharine@foundationofhope.us, or by posting to our Facebook and Instagram pages, at Facebook.com/TheFoundationofHope and Instagram.com/TheFoundationofHope. Thank you. Written by Katharine Booth, Foundation of Hope publicist |
