In a time when face-to-face education is limited by ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, Foundation of Hope is using a virtual format to keep up its longstanding tutoring services for students in our community.
Hope Learning offers both individual and groups sessions covering a range of subjects, including (but are not limited to) Languages, Math, Science, homework help, and more. Foundation of Hope tutors adapt our method of teaching to each student’s learning style. I recently spoke with one of our tutors, Michael Chiong. Michael has been tutoring with Foundation of Hope for several months, assisting middle and high-school aged students with math and Chemistry. While acknowledging this is a difficult and unusual time for students’ education, he expressed optimism, impressed by his own students’ adaptability to the virtual format. Michael believes that, even in these challenging times, with the right support we can all help students weather this difficult period and move forward academically. He also believes learning support systems such as Hope Learning can continue to remind young learners about the importance of education. Hope Learning tutoring services are available to the public.
